Whole Foods carries watercress, however the leaves are too tender, and lack the bite of what I grew up eating. this can be my mother's recipe for a watercress salad with a heat sweet and bitter dressing. It needs the durable watercress selection which may setback to each the warmth and therefore the flavor of the dressing. i like this salad.

It's sort of a wilted spinach salad, solely less wilted, and a lot of peppery. In my father's and my opinion, it very should be created with bacon fat and crumbled bacon. you'll substitute olive oil, however it's very not an equivalent.
